Three rounds to the end a sole leader appeared in the 2018 Moscow Open Women’s Cup of Russia event. It’s the winner of the higher league of the 2017 Championship of Russia Marina Nechaeva (Fryazino, Moscow region). She scored 5,5 points. Six chess players with half a point less are chasing the leader – these are Susanna Gaboyan (Armenia), Aydan Hojjatova (Azerbaijan), Anastasia Bodnaruk (St. Petersburg), Iulija Osmak (Ukraine), Dinara Dordzhieva and Elmira Mirzoeva (both from Moscow).
There are two leaders in the 2018 Moscow Open Men’s Cup of Russia event – they are Tamir Nabaty (Israel) and Nikolai Shukh (Saratov region), both scored 5,5 points. Six chess players scored 5 points: Nikita Afanasiev and Semen Lomasov (both from Moscow), Artur Garifullin (Bashkiria), Andrey Drygalov (Kurgan), Maksim Samusenko (Tatarstan) and Nikita Matinian (Saratov).
Evgeni Dragomarezkij won for the sixth time in a row in the RSSU Veteran Cup. Seven chasers remain one point behind the leader. These are Gennady Tunik (Saratov), Alexandr Provotorov (Kaluga), Alexey Guberniev, Anatoli Shvedchikov and Sergey Birjukov (both from Moscow), Arkadi Vul (Moscow region), Evgeny Sveshnikov (Chelyabinsk) and Sergey Pozin (Yugra).
Elena Fatalibekova and Larisa Khropova from Moscow are sharing the first place in the RSSU Women’s Veteran Cup. They scored 5 points. Elena Sazonova (Tyumen) and Galina Strutinskaia (Moscow) with 4,5 points are chasing the leading ladies.
The RSSU Amateur Cup has also a sole leader. Alexey Irkha (Orenburg region) with six victories in a row tops this tournament. Igor Volkov (Crimea), Dmitry Ospennikov (Tatarstan) and Vasiliy Cholanyuk (Moscow) scored 5,5 points.
