The open tournament of the 14th RSSU Cup, 2018 Moscow Open are developing. More than 850 chess players from 30 countries, including more than 30 grandmasters and 70 international masters, are struggling for the medals.
Tamir Nabaty (Israel), Boris Savchenko (Moscow) and Nikolai Shukh (Saratov) suffer no losses so far. Seven chess players with half a point less follow them.
Three chess players with four victories grasped the leading position in the Women’s Cup of Russia – Marina Nechaeva and Margarita Lysenko from Fryazino (Moscow region) and Susanna Gaboyan (Armenia). Five players are half a point behind them.
Evgeni Dragomarezkij and Alexey Guberniev from Moscow top the RSSU Veteran Cup, both scored 4 points. 13 players are half a step behind the leaders, including the ranking favorite, reigning World Veteran Champion Evgeny Sveshnikov (Chelyabinsk).
Moscow chess players with 3,5 points are also leading in the Women’s Veteran event – Galina Strutinskaia and Elena Fatalibekova. Six players with a half point less follow the leaders.
Six players with a 100% result are sharing the first place in the RSSU Amateur Cup. they are Dmitry Ospennikov (Tatarstan), Alexey Irkha (Orenburg region), Igor Volkov (Republic of Crimea), Oleg Maximov Vladislav Sviridov (both from Moscow) and Serafim Oleynik (Nizhegorodskaya region).
The fifth of nine rounds will be played Wednesday, January 31.
