Three Participants of the RSSU School Champions’ Cup Win Six Times in a Row

Two thirds of the distance is over in the RSSU School Champions’ Cup – O. Zhuravsky Memorial. Please be reminded that the competitions are held in four age groups in both boys’ and girls’ tournaments.

Pavel Boykov (Astrakhan region), Egor Koblov (Krasnodar region), Ruslan Khabibullin (Republic of Tatrstan), Teimur Toktomushev (Ukraine) and Jahandar Azadaliyev (Azerbaijan) scored 5,5 points in the U9 Boy’s tournament. Eight chess players with half a point less follow the leaders.

Anna Shukhman (Orenburg region) with 6 points grasped leadership in girls’ tournament of the same age category. Darya Efimova (Tula region), Olesya Fedorova, Elena Grafova (both from Moscow), Mariia Dolinskaya (Samara region) and Sofia Mutina (St. Petersburg) are one point behind the leader. 

Ali Israfilov (Podolsk) and Gleb Pugach (Moscow) with 5,5 points are leading in the U11 Boys’ group. 15 players scored 5 points.

Alexandra Shvedova (Moscow) with a 100% result is the first in the U11 girls’ tournament. Yana Zhapova (Zabaykal Krai) with 5,5 points is the second. Four players scored 5 points. 

Arseniy Chumaevskiy (Yakutia) with 6 points is leading in the U13 Boys’ tournament. Roman Kuzmin (Sverdlovsk region) and Aleksei Andreev (Yakutia) are following a leader half a step behind. 

Elena Mikhailina (Moscow) and Evita Cherepanova (Rostov region) with 5 points are leading in the girls’ tournament of the same age group. Five chess players scored 4,5 points.

Anton Kalambetov (Astrakhan region) wit 5,5 points is the first so far in the U15 boys’ group. Ilya Brin (Krasnoyarsk Krai), Daniil Subatovich (Kaliningrad region), Alexander Tretyakov (Moscow) and Ruslan Lisimenko (Perm Krai) scored 5 points.

The group of senior girls also has a sole leader – it’s Ksenya Nikolaeva (Republic of Tatarstan) with 5,5 points. Ekaterina Sosnina (Perm Krai) and Yuliya Mikhailova (Yakutia) scored half a point less.

It should be added that the Award Ceremony of winners and medalists of these competitions will be held February 3 in the assembly hall of the RSSU.
