First Leaders Appear in the RSSU School Champions’ Cup

One third of the distance is over in the RSSU School Champions’ Cup – Zhuravsky Memorial. Please be reminded that more than 850 participants from 8 countries and 54 regions of Russia are struggling for medals of the competitions.

15 players suffer no losses so far in the tournament of the youngest boys under 9.

The leaders of the girls’ tournament in the same age group are: Evelina Zavivaeva (Nizhegorodskaya region), Uliyana Kulygina (Volgograd region), Anna Shukhman (Orenburg region), Suada Abaszada (Azerbaijan), Nursulu Orazalina (Kazakhstan), each of them scored 3 points. 

14 players with 3 scored points are leading in the U11 boys’ tournament.

7 chess players show a 100% result in the U11 girls’ competition, including one of the ranking favorites Alexandra Shvedova from Moscow.

14 players with no losses top the U13 boys’ tournament.

Viktoriya Khurkhesova (Buryatia), Elena Mikhailina (Moscow), Evita Cherepanova (Rostov region) and Nadezhda Sosnina (Perm Territory) with 3 points clinched leadership in the tournament of girls of the same age category.

6 players burst out in the U15 boys’ competition: Aidin Mestnikov, Nikita Pestryakov (both from Yakutia), Egor Mutovin, Ilya Brin (both from Krasnoyarsk Territory), Anton Kalambetov (Astrakhan region) and Denis Gotsiuk (Moscow) – each of players managed to score 3 points.

4 players show a 100% result in the oldest girls’ tournament: Olesya Moiseeva, Yuliya Mikhailova (both from Yakutia), Ksenya Nikolaeva (Republic of Tatarstan) and Ekaterina Yakushina (Alania). 

Young players will have to play six more rounds.
